Spineless

If you want to see how upset much of the 'liberal base' is at Obama, read the comments that follow this little article in the New York Times.  Here's a sample:

Obama has thrown his loyal base under the bus.
He cares more about kissing the rear ends of those who hate him and want him to fail.
Frank Rich was right.
I feel betrayed. What must his family and friends think?
No backbone. We got a dancer not a fighter. And we needed a pitbull without lipstick.

Bottom-line, they want someone who's willing to fight for what he believes.  Obama is going to have to do something pretty amazing to win them back.
