Chief of Staff

On Hard Ball, the pundits are applauding the pick of Rahm Emanuel as Obama's chief of staff. He's tough, he's extremely knowledgeable of both Congress and the White House and the issues, and he's effective in getting things done.

That sounds right to me, because getting things done is not going to be a cake walk, even with all the good things that have happened. Also, it sounds a lot like Reagan, because while he always played the good guy, he had an enforcer like James Baker doing the behind-the-scenes 'dirty work'. And Obama admires Reagan politically, though not in policy. This is a good first choice.
