This is simply an incredible admission on the part of President Bush, from an interview today with Charlie Gibson on ABC news:
"I think I was unprepared for war....In other words, I didn't campaign and say, 'Please vote for me, I'll be able to handle an attack.' In other words, I didn't anticipate war. Presidents -- one of the things about the modern presidency is that the unexpected will happen."
Mea culpa.
What this says to me is that George W. Bush really didn't have a clue what his Vice-President and his Secretary of Defense were up to. He really was basically a convenient puppet, with Cheney, Rumsfeld, et al. pulling the strings. Call it conspiratorial if you will, but that is what the evidence seems to be saying. And if you want to know what they were up to, here a good place to look.
Stayed tuned, because this is only the beginning, my friends, of what we're going to find out about the last eight years.
