It is true, as Keith Olberman is currently making clear on his show, that the anti-health care reform movement is either hypocritical about Medicare, or they are opposed to it.
If you are against single-payer health care, like most every industrialized country other than America has, and yet like and/or accept your Medicare, then you are a hypocrite. You're willing to take your government-provided health care yet deny it to others, and that is sheer hypocrisy.
If you are against single-payer (or public option) health care, then you should also be against the biggest single-payer health care plan already in existence, i.e. Medicare. Now that is a consistent position, and I can respect it, as long as you willing to turn it down for yourself or for your parents. But, funny thing, I don't know anyone like that.
So people opposing health care reform are almost all just hypocrites.
