Like many things, dancing (at least ballroom and the kind I used to like in high school) takes two people. But if one person wants to dance and the other doesn't, then it isn't going to happen.
Bipartisanship also takes two. If one side tries to be bipartisan and the other side refuses, then bipartisanship is a sick joke. And that is what you have today. The majority of the Republicans have no desire or intention to be bipartisan.
So why is Obama so intent on trying to be bipartisan (at least on domestic issues)? Isn't it a bit pathetic to keep trying to get someone to dance when they clearly don't want to?
Forget about it. Either ignore them, or make fun of them, or something. Just don't keep trying to get them to dance. THEY DON'T WANT TO DANCE!!
