George Will sounds like some kind of antiwar liberal in today's column in the WaPo, instead of the Churchillian he normally is. What's going on here?
His points are all well taken, of course, even persuasive. Yet one has to wonder if this is politics driven or what he really thinks. Would he have written this if it were the Bush administration's policy or John McCain's policy?
I just don't see much consistency in George Will's writings on American wars. Has he learned from our Iraqi misadventure? Or is he just finding it much easily to advocate for pullout now that it is Obama's war?
