It looks as if the McCain/Palin, in their desperation to win, are going to get down and dirty in the last month of this election. So we can expect to hear a lot of irrelevant stuff that may (or may not) get some 'purchase' on the electorate for a slight uptick in the polls.
Two can play that game, although probably Obama/Biden are going to stay above it, which is what Obama did in the primaries against Clinton, when she started throwing dirt.
But even if Obama won't defend himself because he wants to stay positive and focused, which is his temperament anyway, others can.
