Dominos

There is an article in the NYT this morning explaining the stakes involved with GM's pension plan. If it goes under in a bankruptcy, then that could be the domino that undermines the whole traditional 'defined benefit' pension system throughout the country. This in turn could throw many thousands or even millions of retirees into a much lower standard of living, threatening our economy even more.
