The CIA is opposing the exposure of their torture methods. Well, it's a good thing for the American people to know what is being done in their name. Then, they/we can have a real conversation based on the truth, rather than on fiction and myths. There are probably folks who think torture of alleged terrorists is okay, just as they don't have a problem with executing murderers. Others feel that torture as state policy is uncivilized, as is capitol punishment.
Honest disagreement, I suppose. But it helps to know what is actually being done by our agents of force and war.
